Couple receive apology for sweet theft2014.10.06
A COUPLE from Ontario (安大略省), Canada (加拿大) recently received a nice surprise.
Mr and Mrs Bonvarlez once owned a sweet shop. Not long ago, they received an apology letter from a thief who stole a sweet from their shop a long time ago. In it, the thief confessed to the crime.
The writer also said he or she had never forgotten how wrong it was or how bad he or she felt for all these years. Included in the letter was 40 Canadian dollars (HK$278), much more than the sweet cost. The Bonvarlezes plan to donate the money to charity. They said they are proud of the honest person that he or she has become.
