STARTING mid-March, the Hong Kong Science Museum (香港科學館) is showing a new exhibition called Sophie – IVE’s Solar Cars Driving the Future. It features the Sophie solar car, which was developed by IVE engineering students.
Students have taken Sophie to the World Solar Challenge, and Sophie not only completed the 3,000km race from Darwin (達爾文) to Adelaide (阿德萊德) in Australia (澳洲), it also finished fourth. Sophie IV also became the first solar car to go on public highways in Hong Kong.
