Parents urged to use positive thinking on kids2017.04.07
HONG Kong Education City (香港教育城), Education University of Hong Kong (教育大學) and the Po Leung Kuk (保良局) organisation jointly held a seminar on positive thinking. One speaker, Ryan Cheung Yat-ming (張溢明), explained to parents that PRISM techniques can keep their children’s attitude positive.
The five letters represent ways of learning to be positive. ‘P’ stands for ‘praise the process’. ‘R’ stands for ‘recognise the strengths’. ‘I’ stands for ‘interpret the meaning’. ‘S’ stands for ‘sustain positivity amid difficulties’. Lastly, ‘M’ stands for ‘motivate’.
Together, the methods help parents to encourage their kids about their efforts, and treat inner traits as bonuses.
