YOU might have visited the giant pandas, Ying Ying (盈盈), Le Le (樂樂), An An (安安) and Jia Jia (佳佳), at Ocean Park before. But next month, 1,600 pandas will be doing the visiting! These pandas will be popping up all over the territory.

The visiting pandas will be slightly different to the ones you have seen before. They have been made out of papier mache by French artist Paulo Grangeon. The ‘1600 Pandas World Tour in Hong Kong: Creativity Meets Conversation’ exhibition will be curated by the company who brought us the ‘Rubber Duck Project’ last year.

The astonishing pandas come in six different shapes and sizes. They will be hiding at major Hong Kong landmarks such as Hong Kong International Airport, the giant Tian Tan Buddha, Tsing Ma Bridge, Sha Tin Racecourse, the Hong Kong Coliseum, the Clock Tower at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza and Victoria Park.

The pandas will also gather in PMQ (Police Married Quarters) to promote conservation and to support the creative industry in Hong Kong.
