CARRIE Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor (林鄭月娥), Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, said primary and secondary schools have to be cautious in resuming classes, and there is little chance that it can be done by 20 April, as originally planned. And even if they do resume classes, it will be in phases.

Lam added that she is concerned about students who are studying overseas but want to come back to Hong Kong. The city’s flagship airline Cathay Pacific will arrange for return flights.

The Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung Yun-hung (楊潤雄) said he is looking into the situation, and that he will announce any plans they come up with for resuming normal classes again.
