四千億沙漠蝗蟲入侵 肆虐東非恐逼近中國

【兒童報訊】四千億隻沙漠蝗蟲早前在東非肆虐，及後入侵印度和巴基斯坦，現時正逼近中國國境。印度拉賈斯坦邦財政部長表示，在大批蝗蟲襲擊下，大量農作物被毁，預計將造成印度糧食減產三成至五成。中國專家認為，中國與印巴接壤地帶是高海拔寒冷地帶，蝗蟲應該難以越過。

Four hundred billion desert locusts have struck East Africa and then invaded India and Pakistan. Now, they are approaching Chinese borders. The Finance Minister of Rajasthan, India, said that the locust plague has caused extensive damage to crops, and a drop of 30% to 50% of food production in India is expected. Chinese experts believe that the China-India borders belong to a high-altitude cold region, so it is difficult for locusts to cross.
