中國搞笑菠蘿科學獎 證恐龍患頸椎病

【兒童報訊】有中國版「搞笑諾貝爾獎」之稱的菠蘿科學獎早前揭曉，以中國地質大學副教授邢立達為首的團隊，在恐龍化石上發現了頸椎關節病變特徵，證明侏羅紀時代的恐龍也會得頸椎病，獲頒生物學獎。菠蘿科學獎舉行至今已到第八屆，嘉許在物理學、醫學及生物學等十個範疇作出有趣研究及發現的科學團隊。

      小朋友或許不知道，地球已有46億歲了！約2億3千萬年前至6600萬年前的時代，又稱為「中生代」，可細分成三疊紀、侏羅紀和白堊紀，已有原始恐龍和鱷類等脊椎類爬行動物出現。

The Pineapple Science Awards – China's equivalent of the Ig Nobel Prizes–have recently announced the latest results. A team led by Xing Lida, Assistant Professor at China University of Geosciences, was awarded the Biology Prize. It was in recognition of their discovery of some abnormality in the cervical vertebrae in a dinosaur fossil, proving that dinosaurs in the Jurassic Period could also suffer from cervical spondylosis. The Pineapple Science Awards are in their eighth year now. They are to recognise the science teams that have done interesting research works in a dozen or so fi elds, such as physics, medicine and biology.
