Real-life ‘Iron Man’ suit now on sale2019.01.30
ACOMPANY in the UK has recently developed a flying suit, like in the movie Iron Man. Back in early January, inventor Richard Browning demonstrated the suit at a military training centre. The higher-ups in the UK military said they like the suit and might use it in the future.
The suit, which weighs about 27kg, has five air-jets: one is on the back and each arm has two.
The wearer can fly as quickly as 48km per hour. And the wearer can take off, land vertically and hover. Browning thinks the suit can help UK soldiers get to their destination more quickly.
Apart from the British, the US military is interested in the suit as well. Browning is currently trying to make the flying time last for more than four to nine minutes. It might change warfare in the future.
