The next US leader
2016.11.07AMERICANS (美國人) will elect their next president tomorrow. The winner will be one of the two candidates: Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Let’s find out more about them.
Hillary Clinton (希拉莉)

Age: 69
Profile: Clinton was secretary of state from 2009 to 2013. She advised President Barack Obama (奧巴馬) on how the US should deal with other countries. This is not her first attempt to win the presidency. In 2008 she put up a strong fight in the primaries but eventually lost to Obama. Neither is she a stranger to the White House. She was First Lady from 1993 to 2001, when her husband Bill was president.
If she wins: Hillary Clinton, a lawyer by training, will be the first female US president.
Donald Trump (特朗普)
Party: Republican (共和黨)
Age: 70
Profile: Trump is a wealthy businessman. He makes a lot of money by building hotels, luxury apartments and golf courses around the world. He hosted and co-produced the TV reality show The Apprentice.
If he wins: Trump will be the first US president who did not hold political office before running.
Orange is the colour
TRUMP’S hairstyle has been the source of many jokes. His hair even led to disputes among children at a school he visited in Las Vegas (拉斯維加斯). They wanted to know whether his hair is really orange. They were also interested in other aspects of the man who could be their leader. In A Child’s First Book of Trump, author and comedian Michael Ian Black introduces young readers to an orange creature who aims for world domination.
