牛糞穿上身 環保又時尚

牛糞除了用來堆肥，還可以穿上身？牛吃草後，會產生帶有純纖維素的糞便，研究人員在纖維素加入化學物質，便可將牛糞變成液態膠。這些膠質可以拉出幼幼的綫，然後織成布料。荷蘭早前就舉行了一次「牛糞布」時裝騷，將牛糞製的布料設計成時尚衣服，再由模特兒穿上，讓大眾明白牛糞也可以變得有用及美麗。日常生活還有很多可回收及再造的廢物，只要花點心思，便能夠創造不少環保發明。

In addition to using manure to make compost, can it also be put on the body? That is possible now thanks to scientists. After eating grass, cows produce dung containing pure cellulose. Researchers added other chemical substances into the cellulose and turned it into a natural liquid plastic. The plastic is then pulled out into thin threads which are then woven into a fabric. At a recent fashion show in the Netherlands, the models wore fashionable clothes made of “cow dung cloth”. The show’s aim was to let the public know that cow dung can also be useful and beautiful. Every day, a lot of waste is created but can be recycled. If we pay more effort to recycling waste, we can create many things that are environmental friendly.
