印度推3D斑馬綫　提高交通安全意識

為了減少車禍發生，印度運輸部部長Nitin Gadkari宣布在全國高速公路試用「3D斑馬綫」。它通過3D繪製技術，讓斑馬綫看起來像浮在馬路上，這種視覺效果會讓司機自覺地放慢車速，而免「撞上」斑馬綫。這一種3D斑馬綫早在美國、吉爾吉斯斯坦和中國等地都曾試行，某些地方也試用過3D圖案路標，全都是為了提高司機及行人的交通安全意識。不過亦有人認為假如司機已知道這些「懸浮」斑馬綫全是幻覺的話，那就沒有上述效果了。

To help reduce the huge number of traffic accidents in India, the country’s transport minister, Nitin Gadkari, announced that the government will paint 3D zebra crossings on roads. These 3D paintings will make a zebra crossing seems like a floating pedestrian crossing. The drivers will want to slow down to avoid a crash when they see this optical illusion. This 3D zebra crossing has been painted in the United States, China and Kyrgyzstan since 2008. Some areas also used 3D signs. All of them are aimed at increasing drivers’ awareness of pedestrians. However, some people believed that as soon as the drivers realise the floating zebra crossing is just an illusion, they will not care about cutting down on their speed.
