中國作家首獲殊榮　曹文軒奪國際安徒生獎

內地著名兒童文學作家曹文軒榮獲被譽為「兒童文學的諾貝爾文學獎」的國際安徒生獎，成為60年來首位獲此殊榮的中國作家。曹認為得獎原因是其作品獨特，筆下故事雖在中國發生，但寓意卻與全人類共通。評委會主席帕奇說，曹的作品雖描述悲慘的童年生活，但他用詩意如水的筆觸，描寫生活中真實而哀傷的時刻，為面臨逆境的兒童樹立榜樣。曹的知名作品包括《草房子》、《火印》等，先後翻譯成多國語言。

Cao Wenxuan has become the first Chinese author to win the Hans Christian Andersen award for children’s literature, the top prize in the field that is also called the “Little Nobel Prize for Literature”. Although his stories are set in China, the message behind them is universal. The jury said Cao “writes beautifully about the complex lives of children facing great challenges”. His works, including The Grass House, has been translated into different languages.
