Spacemen return to Earth after almost a year in space2016.03.09
US astronaut Scott Kelly and Russian (俄羅斯的) cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko returned to Earth on 2 March after spending nearly a year on the International Space Station (國際太空站, ISS).
It has become the longest US space mission in history, and aims to prepare humans to one day be able to travel to and live on Mars.
The two spacemen spent 340 days in space. Kelly, age 52, and Kornienko, 55, have been used in many medical experiments and science studies on the Space Station to help scientists learn more about how the human body adjusts to weightlessness and the high-radiation environment of space.
The world’s longest space mission so far was by four cosmonauts between 1994 and March 1995. They remained in space for nearly 438 days.
