每晚要有充足睡眠才有精力應付學業。今年,流動應用程式「Sleep Cycle」做了一個全球睡眠調查,覆蓋47個國家、超過200萬使用者,希望找出各地市民的平均睡眠時間。調查發現,港人平均睡眠時間是6小時39分鐘,而台灣和中國則分別是6小時21分鐘和6小時43分鐘,比專家建議的7小時睡眠時間略少。睡眠對健康十分重要,每晚睡眠少於6小時,容易患有肥胖和心臟病等。當然,睡太多也不代表好,每晚睡眠超過9小時,亦會容易出現糖尿病和心臟病。

Having enough sleep gives us energy to deal with our work. This year, the makers of the smartphone app‘Sleep Cycle’did a global sleep survey. This survey covered 47 countries and involved more than two million users, hoping to find out the average sleep time over different places. It found out Hong Kong's average sleeping time is 6 hours and 39 minutes, while neighboring Taiwan and China are 6 hours and 21 minutes and 6 hours and 43 minutes respectively, which is less than the seven hours suggested by experts. Sleeping is important for health. If we sleep less than six hours per night, we may develop obesity and heart disease. However, it does not also mean that sleeping a lot is good for our health. If we sleep more than nine hours, we may be prone to diabetes and heart disease.
