Café leaves message to homeless person
2015.05.04IT is a sad fact that many homeless people do not have enough to eat. What can they do? Some might go through the rubbish thrown out by restaurants and cafes. Ashley Jiron, the owner of PB Jams cafe in Oklahoma (奧克拉荷馬州), in theUnited States (美國), found out that a homeless person had been doing this at her café. She decided to put up this notice with a special message:
“To the person going through our trash for their nextmeal, You’re a human being and worth far more than a meal from a dumpster. Please come in during operating hours for a classic Pb&j, fresh veggies, and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked. - Your friend, the owner.”
Though no one has come forward so far, Ashley’s note has spread all over the world through social media.
