SINCE the 1980s, telephones in the shape of the cartoon cat Garfield have been washing up on Iroise Coast in northern France (法國). For decades, no one knew where the phones
came from, only that they kept showing up despite many cleanups.
The clean-up crew suspected that the phones might be from a lost shipping container, but could not find it. After the media published stories about the phones, a local farmer
realized that the phones must have been from a container in a nearby cave he found years ago.
The farmer led the clean-up team to a cave that can only be found during low tides. At the bottom was the cargo container with the phones. Twenty-three of them were still
intact, with cables still attached.
