FOOTBALL-LOVING students at Sham Tseng Catholic Primary School (深井天主教小學) got a treat when former Manchester United striker Louis Saha visited the school to teach some football skills.
When asked what he liked about the students, Saha said, “I was very impressed with their football skills, especially their dribbling, but most of all I like their smiles!” He added that playing football was all about having fun with your friends.
The Man Utd ambassador was brought over by the Jockey Club (馬會) for their Jockey Club School Football Development Scheme. The programme aims to help students to become footballers when they undergo training in the Club’s modern youth training facilities. It also helps students make progress on and off the pitch and build up the confidence to speak up.
