A GREEN group and a Hong Kong university ran a survey together to see how Hongkongers feel about country parks. The survey says over 91 percent of respondentsagree that the city needs to protect its country parks.
The ‘Survey on Hong Kong Residents’ Opinions on Country Parks’ was conducted by the Baptist University of Hong Kong (浸大), together with Green Power (綠色力量), from October to November 2018. They asked 347 people aged 18 and above from 10 districts in the city.
According to the survey, over 95 percent of respondents have visited a country park before, usually Sai Kung Country Park (西貢郊野公園). Over 87 percent says such parks are important for a liveable city.
