IN late February, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD, 漁護署) announced that it had built a new stargazing spot. Located in Sai Wan, Sai Kung (西貢西灣), it will be open to the public in early March.
The AFCD posted on social media that the spot has curved benches. Such benches let people look up at different angles and are ergonomic, meaning they were designed to be more comfortable.
However, the area does not provide electricity, so Hongkongers need to bring their own stargazing instruments. Some netizens are unhappy with the new AFCD plan, and they said a more urgent need is for country parks to have toilets.
