THE Hongkong Post has announced they are releasing new stamps and other related products, starting 8 May, to celebrate the fire department’s 150th anniversary. Each set has six stamps.
The stamp sets feature cars and trucks throughout the century used for putting out fires, communication, and saving people. The $2 stamp has a fire engine from the 1950s; the $3.4 has an ambulance from the 1980s; and the $5 one has the current ambulance model.
These stamps also have augmented reality technology. A three-dimensional model of the vehicles will pop up when the fire department’s smartphone app is used on the stamps.
