PRIMARY students and teachers helped create the largest human image of a diamond in early November and are waiting for Guinness World Records to recognise the feat. About 2,000 people connected to La Salle Primary School (LSPS, 喇沙小學) gathered to form the diamond image.
The effort was in celebration of the 60th anniversary – the diamond jubilee – of the founding of LSPS. The group, also including alumni and parents, went to Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground (小西灣運動場) for a Family Sports Day to create the image. The day’s guest of honour was Jack So Chak-Kwong (蘇澤光), the chairman of the Board of Airport Authority (機管局主席).
LSPS’s headteacher, Chandni Nair Rakesh said that they chose to form a diamond because a diamond shines brightly, like the students.
