THREE hundred volunteers in Serbia (塞爾維亞) created a huge mosaic artwork to raise money for disabled children. They used about 800,000 bottle caps, weighing 100 tons in total, to create a picture with an area of 621 square metres.
The creation of the picture took place on 30 September, and people from all over the country gathered at Novi Sad (諾維薩德), in Serbia, to create shapes such as a dove, a bell 2025 and then Mars later on. tower, a spinning top, etc.
The activity was organised by From Caps to Smiles, which has collected numerous bottle caps for the past five years. They used their proceeds to help raise funds for disabled children. The organisation said that they hope the event can spread a message of environmental protection and concern for disabled children.
