SOME of you might not want to read during summer since you have been reading textbooks all year long. But reading can be fun, too. Here are some books that are exciting to read.
Goosebumps: Deep Trouble II
DO you like scary movies and books? Here is a book from the goto author of horror, RL Stine. It tells the story of two siblings, Billy and Sheena Deep. They are spending the summer in the Caribbean (加勒比海) with their uncle. They go swim in the sea a lot, but they keep having the feeling that something scary is hiding in the depths. The fish seem to be growing bigger and bigger, and they are biting everyone. What in the world is going on under the sea?
WHAT children’s book list would be complete without Roald Dahl’s books? In The BFG, the orphan Sophie is picked up by a giant and brought to his cave. Sophie assumes the giant will eat her, but he will not, since he is the Big Friendly Giant (BFG). But he tells Sophie not to go out of his cave, since the other giants will eat her. He tells her that he takes bad dreams from other people so that they will only have good dreams. Another giant barges in and Sophie has to hide. After the mean giant leaves, Sophie and the BFG decide to stop all the other giants.
A Fabumouse Vacation for Geronimo
IN this book in the beloved Geronimo Stilton series, Geronimo would really like to take a vacation, but something always comes up. First it is his aunt’s home catching on fire, then it is his office getting flooded and after that it is his printing press breaking down.
By the time Geronimo is finally ready to start, all the tickets to good vacation spots are gone. He is stuck in an old hotel, beset by fleas and has to share a room with Gerbil Scouts. By this point, Geronimo cannot wait to get back to his comfy and relaxing home.
