Lai Yuen name now used for a restaurant 2017.06.17

MANY people in Hong Kong have happy memories of their time at the Lai Yuen amusement park (荔園). Now they can visit a restaurant that bears the Lai Yuen name and is run by the same company. Located in Tsim Sha Tsui, Lai Yuen restaurant opened its doors on 8 June.

The restaurant is decorated with features from the amusement park, like the tiger logo at the door, the wooden horses from the carousel and the wooden pendant lights. On the walls hang Lai Yuen-related artworks by famous local artists.

The menu also refers to Lai Yuen’s past, with items like the Lai Yuen chicken leg and curries designed by the Lai Yuen dinosaur house ‘DINO’. A la carte items cost between HK$50 and HK$80.
