TEETH are the hardest part of our body and tooth enamel may be the hardest layer of a tooth, but it does not mean they are indestructible! Children between three and eight years old will have milk teeth first. Eventually all of the milk teeth will come off, one by one, before being replaced by permanent teeth. If we want to keep them for as long as possible, we have to brush our teeth twice a day, otherwise the food remaining in the gaps of the
teeth will attract bacteria, which produces acid and that causes tooth decay.
Tips for healthy teeth
IF you want to keep your teeth healthy and bright, do the following:
1. Brush your teeth with toothpaste using a toothbrush before you sleep and after you wake up.
2. Avoid sweets as much as you can.
3. Use dental floss if possible.
4. Use mouthwash before brushing your teeth although this is optional.
5. Visit your dentist to have your teeth checked regularly.
6. Consume food with calcium, as it strengthens teeth.
