A NETIZEN discovered a lot of rubbish at Kowloon Peak (飛鵝山) left by other hikers and posted photos of the unsightly scene on Facebook. Many responded to the post, saying that such litterbugs should not be allowed to hike. Some of them also said the litterbugs need more education on civics.
On 5 March, netizen Pansy Li posted ‘Shameless litterbug left behind this much trash at Kowloon Peak Viewing Point’ (不知廉恥垃圾蟲在飛鵝山觀景台留下咁多垃圾) on the Facebook group Friends of Hong Kong Hiking and Long Treks (香港行山遠足之友（聊天吹水專區）), along with many photos.
The photos showed there was rubbish both outside and inside of the Viewing Point gazebo. Much of the litter consisted of plastic bags and food packaging, including some unfinished food, and even a large Styrofoam box. Near the gazebo was an overturned rubbish bin.
