Cheating students expelled in India 2015.04.15

CHEATING in tests and exams is wrong. But some students in India (印度) took this dishonest act to a really absurd level – because their parents helped!

In India’s northeastern state of Bihar (比哈爾邦), a group of 10th grade students – similar in age to Form 4 students in Hong Kong – used a strange but also quite dangerous way to get help in their exams. Their parents climbed up the outer walls of the school building and gave their children cheat sheets. Some parents had to climb three storeys! They threw cheat sheets into the classroom, some in the form of paper aeroplanes! Photographs and video clips of this shameless and illegitimate activity went viral on the internet, especially on social media platforms.

About 600 students were expelled from school for cheating. Although some schools asked the police to help curb the problem, the officers said that they could not do much to the parents. They said, “We can’t shoot them!”
