Kids design and share solutions to global problems

ON 15 November, groups of children aged eight to 12 got together in five cities around the world – Berlin in Germany (德國柏林), Rio de Janeiro in Brazil (巴西里約熱內盧), Nairobi in Kenya (肯雅內羅比), Dublin in Ireland (愛爾蘭都柏林) and Amsterdam in the Netherlands (荷蘭阿姆斯特丹) – to participate in the first Global Children’s Designathon.

The event asked kids to come up with and build models of solutions for some of the world’s most pressing issues – food, pollution, traffic, etc – in a single day! The proposals were then shared with other participants worldwide via video conference.

It just shows that you can never been too young to contribute to the world we live in.
